Rouha Hussaina CEng, MIMechE

Rouha joins ERC Evolution with over a decade of experience in the steel industry which includes industrial decarbonisation, circular economy, project engineering/management, industrial construction, M&A due diligence and manufacturing. Most recently she represented Tata Steel UK, the largest steelworks and the 2nd largest GHG emitter in the country, at the South Wales Industrial Cluster (SWIC) for decarbonisation. Previously, she worked in the Netherlands and played a key role is devising the decarbonisation roadmap for Tata Steel Netherlands. Rouha has also managed industrial construction projects. In 2018/19, she led the design and engineering for the multimillion pound Blast Furnace project, which was a critical part of Tata Steel’s long-term strategy to strengthen its operations in the UK.

 A chartered mechanical engineer with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and a certified project management associate, Rouha received her MSc from the University of Bath.  In 2020, she completed her Executive MBA from the University of Cambridge. At Cambridge, she researched climate change policies in major European economies to propose ways through which greenhouse gas emissions intensive industries can collaborate to expedite decarbonisation.
