Impartiality Policy for Emissions Verification Activities
In its role as a verification body, ERC Evolution Limited understands the importance of impartiality and independence and is committed to assessing Greenhouse Gas inventories and statements in accordance with the compliance requirements of ISO 14065:2020, ISO/IEC 17029:2019 and applicable GHG Programme.
ERC Evolution shall be responsible for the impartiality of its verification activities and shall not allow commercial, financial or other pressures to compromise impartiality. ERC Evolution monitors its activities and its relationships to identify threats to its impartiality. This monitoring shall include the relationships of its management, directors, employees and any external verifiers. If a threat to impartiality is identified, its effect shall be eliminated or minimised so that the impartiality is not compromised.
ERC Evolution shall not offer or provide both consultancy and verification for the same claim from the same client. ERC Evolution shall take action when it is made aware of inappropriate links with or announcements by any consultancy organisation stating or implying that verification would be simpler, easier, faster or less expensive if the verification body were used. ERC Evolution shall take action to respond to any threats to its impartiality arising from the actions of other persons, bodies or organisations.
All persons employed directly or indirectly by ERCE Evolution shall adhere to this Impartiality Policy.
