Identifying CO2 storage options for stranded emitters.
Several industrial clusters have CO2 sources but no local CO2 storage leaving them stranded and depending on shipping CO2.
Need:
A client wanted to screen for CO2 storage in the vicinity of such stranded clusters.
Project:
ERCE was engaged to undertake CO2 storage screening suitable to the identified clusters. We used our in house workflow, created by technical experts, to study key criteria such as storage capacity, injectivity and leakage risks.
Outcome:
CO2 storage was identified for the client to proceed with the regulatory processes.
