Conceptual Plan for Redevelopment of Marginal Fields in the South China Sea
Many marginal fields have been discovered in the South China Sea and may become stranded. The recovery of oil prices offers an opportunity to develop these fields.
Problem:
Client requested a study of FMS/ image log data and a conceptual plan to develop existing marginal fields in conjunction with surrounding production facilities.
Solution:
ERCE conducted a reservoir quality and resource assessment integrating the FMS/ image log data. ERCE subsequently formulated an appraisal and conceptual development strategy. ERCE also analysed the economic of different development scenarios.
