Abel Thomas-Hy holds a Bachelor of Petroleum Engineering from the University of Adelaide, Australia. 

Abel joined ERC Equipoise in the Perth office in 2021, after an internship in the Singapore office in 2019. 

As a Reservoir Engineer his role includes resource assessment, production forecasting, dynamic reservoir simulation and field development support. 

During his internship, Abel focused on the coal bed methane resources of Australia. Previous work includes the assessment of EOR potential in heavy oil fields as part of his honours research. 

He is comfortable using Reservoir Engineering tools such as tNavigator, Eclipse, Harmony, GAP and Prosper.
